Babu Princess Aurora Afghan

This afghan currently measures 41 1/2" X 48 1 /2", I used an I/9 Tunisian hook. This is going to a 2 year old so I hope she like princesses.... hmmmm.... well the little girl is the only girl in her family so she is a princess LOL.

I have completed the main part of the afghan and now I need to work on the backing and the border. I am waiting for a good coupon from Hobby Lobby to get the fabric... I may be able to get the backing next week as the coupons go back and forth between 40% off everything and wood crafts.

Mock Knit Hat in Tunisian Crochet

Click on the photo to see it larger.

Well I figured that I would try doing Tunisian in the round... and I think I got it down pretty good. This method uses one strand of yarn and a flexible crochet hook.

I plan on making a pattern for this with a picture tutorial on how to join in the round.

Can you believe it- this is my first ever project in the round for Tunisian.

The photos below show the same hat flat, and a close up of the join.

Since this is my first project using the TKS, TPS, and decreases it is not that great, so when I do my second hat it should be better put together.

Let me know what you think. This hat is super soft and super stretching as I used a large hook (M/13). I recommend using the Denise Interchangeable hooks, although you can use any flexible hook that is 24" or longer.

Old WIP (Work in Progress)

Well with the holidays it seems like I was always working on something for someone, whether it be that someone purchase something from me or my many requests from loved ones.

Now that the holidays are over, I can now breath and work on those dreaded WIP's... some will come out of a 2 year hiding and others are only a couple of months old.

It is my goal to get all of my WIP finished before I start another project. That list is pretty long but it shouldn't take more than a couple of days for crocheted items, and a week or two for all of the knitting.

I know I haven't posted in awhile due to switching hosts (and they couldn't figure out how to set up blogger correctly) and because I have been so gosh darned busy.

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season.
